Swarm

Here I created another cartoon image and created jpegs of the process. All of the work I have created so far has been on Adobe Photoshop CS4, using a medium sized Intuos 4 Wacom tablet.

Swarm

This image took several hours to complete and even more time for the thought process. I thought of several different types of swarms before I fell onto this idea. I wanted to keep it fun and interesting.

Process

The peanut and elephants are original creations, but in the background I used 3 different kinds of brushes I had found on deviant art. The clouds, buildings and grass were all brushes.

In the end I think this work turned out really well and fits together nicely.

Layer

I decided to go a different route with my drawing and created something more like cartoon clip art. It took longer for me to decide how I was going to create the work then it did to actually create it.

Layer

I went through several different possibilities before I came to this conclusion. The other illustrations looked to realistic to me and I wanted to keep the image simple and child like.

Getting McFired

After reading an article about an employee named Kyle, I drew the major image about him wanting to "stick it to the man".

McD's

He was employed at a McDonald's for less then a day, terrorizing the manager. The 3 characters at the bottom are meant to be humorous spot illustrations for amongest the type.

Sweater

I like a lot of Icanhazcheeseburger work, so I made a digital painting of one of their images.

For the word "Reverse" I thought of making the painting American Gothic into my own. Trying to find the original image online was quite comical, there are so many variations other individuals had created.

Reverse

This image took several hours and many, many layers. I used 4 photo references, 3 modern images and an image of the painting I was recreating.

Surrender

I was really inspired when I created this image, I think this may be the earliest I have submitted work to IF (Illustration Friday). It was difficult at first, I wasn't very sure what I was going to create when I first saw the word of the week "Surrender".

Surrender

3hours and 21 layers later, this is what I came up with.
I tried using the Rough Round Bristle brush on Photoshop CS4 for the majority of the illustration.

Chicken Dance

I created this image on the 17th of January for the group Illustration Friday on Flickr. I also drew this image with the Wacom Intuos4 Med size, in Photoshop CS4.

Chicken

For this illustration I used approx. 21 layers and looked at several images of Roosters for photo reference.
